Eastbay Junior Golf Academy was established in 2018 by Vince Howell and Denise Philbrick. The curriculum is designed to make learning the game of golf fun and memorable for junior golfers of all ages and skill levels. Students are taught creative and fun methods of instruction in a structured yet relaxed environment. Regardless of age or skill level, from beginners to aspiring high school and collegiate golfers, the Eastbay Junior Golf Academy offers kids the best opportunity to learn, improve and hone their golf skills in a fun, focused, and competitive atmosphere.
CLASSES OFFERED AT THE SAN RAMON GOLF CLUB
For sibling registration, please register the first student. Then use the contact form to provide the first student’s info and the sibling’s info and we will add the sibling to the membership using your current payment method.
Prep
Ages 6-9- This program is designed for golfers 6 to 9 years of age. The #1 objective is to teach the cadets that golf is fun, manners, and, more importantly, the game of a lifetime. We teach US Kids fundamentals of the swing, chipping, and putting in most classes.
- Monday-Wednesday: 3:30-4:15
JV
Ages 10-13- This program is designed for elementary and middle school golfers with beginner and intermediate skill levels and will prepare them for tournament competition. The curriculum will include swing technique, chipping, pitching, putting, bunker play, rules, and etiquette.
- Tuesday-Thursday: 3:30-4:30/4:30-5:30
Varsity
Ages 12-16- This program is designed for the junior golfer who is trying out for their high school team and for beginner golfer 12-16 years of age. This program will include the TPI fitness curriculum, intense swing development, trajectory control around the green, putting drills, and developing a routine for every shot and bunker play.
- Monday-Wednesday 4:00-5:30
Elite
Ages 10-17- This program is designed for tournament-competitive players and players preparing to play on school teams. The curriculum includes on-course playing and management, trajectory control, pre-shot and post-shot routines, managing emotions, reading greens for better control of the speed of putts, and competitive formats.
- Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
